Working exclusively in the primary sector. Rowland is a registered health and safety trainer. He works in Key Stage 1, Key Stage 2, foundation, and nursery both in schools and with LEAs. • pd& t is operated by Rowland Penfold, an experienced trainer in Primary Design and Technology. • Eighteen years teaching in schools was followed by twelve years in Hertfordshire’s Advisory Service, with the later years as County Adviser for Design and Technology. In 1999 Rowland made the decision to work independently, exclusively within the Primary Sector.		• Over the past six years pd& t has built up an extensive client base that involves many LEAs and individual schools and has gained a high reputation for quality and service. • The Design and Technology Association (DATA) honoured Rowland with the Teacher Trainer Award at their Millennium Conference and he is a DATA Registered Health and Safety Trainer.



The aim of pd& t is to provide high quality consultancy services and training courses in many aspects of Primary Design and Technology for LEAs, schools, individual teachers and those in Initial Teacher Training.
